September 18, 2001: Great news! According to the press release issued by the Big Apple Anime Fest on August 13, it looks like we will definitely get to hear Scott's voice in the U.S. November 9 release of METROPOLIS. Also, the film had a screening on August 17, 2001, in Los Angeles as a part of "The Festival of Fantasy, Horror and Science-Fiction" held at American Cinematheque. The Daily Breeze, a South Bay newspaper, had this to say about the upcoming flick:
Fans of anime (Japanese animation) will be drawn to this advance screening of a brand-new film from Rintaro (Shigeyuki Hayashi) about a retro-city of the future, dominated by an evil billionaire.

A rebellion is brewing below the surface. This is not a remake of Fritz Lang's silent masterpiece, but there are said to be some similarities. New levels of anime technique are promised.

August 24, 2001:Many thanks (again!) to "ScottWatcher" for his or her direction towards the Japanese animated film, METROPOLIS! A theatrical release date is set for November 9, 2001, and Scott will be the English voice-over for the character of Atlas. Read the full press release HERE. The press release states that the theatrical release will include English sub-titles, so I'm not sure if that means we won't be hearing Scott's voice at that time. Stay tuned and I'll do some checking up on that.
